Cynthia is the Associate Vice President for the WVU Corporate and Government Relations Office. She is responsible for leading operations and strategic direction for corporate engagements and government relations for the institution. Prior to this Cynthia served as the founding director for West Virginia University’s Corporate Relations Office. The office’s primary mission is to build the campus’ capacity for corporate engagements, and foster and facilitate mutually beneficial relationships with executives and representatives from corporate partners of the university. Cynthia moved to Morgantown late September 2015. Prior to WVU she was with University of Wisconsin-Madison for nine years, and has a total of 22 years of economic and business development experience in the private and public sectors. She has a M.S. degree in planning and economic development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and previously completed her B.A. degree in economic development at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She’s an avid sports fan, and loves exploring the mountains of West Virginia with her partner, Paul Campbell.
