Since joining NACRO in 2013, I’ve served on a number of committees including Benchmarking, Site Selection, Marketing, Finance, Strategic Alliances (Chair-elect), and now as Chair of the newly formed Membership and Alliances Committee. Equally important, I’ve been actively involved in our Mid-Winter Leadership conferences. All this volunteerism prepared me for the Board by deepening my overall perspective of NACRO, its challenges and opportunities. As a NACRO Director, I’m focused on our long-term strategy for member benefits, the profession’s growth, and increased recognition. Involvement in many different professional organizations (the good & the bad & the ugly) has taught me a lot about organization-member relationships, the role of leaders, and creating value for your constituents. Working cooperatively with Chair-Elect Victor Haroldsen and the rest of the team, I look forward to helping lead NACROs efforts in building membership and external partnerships.
