I have served on both the Conference Planning and Marketing committees, and appreciate each group’s contribution to the organization. With Marketing, I came on board initially to focus on the growth of NACRO’s social media presence, but quickly found myself drawn to other projects being developed within the group as well. My involvement in the website and logo relaunch provided countless opportunities to engage with others in the committee and witness firsthand how broad a spectrum the responsibilities of the Marketing group encompass. I believe that the heart of the NACRO mission statement is focused on the network of professionals involved and working together to bring out the best each individual has to offer their institution.
As a member of both the Marketing and Conference Planning committees, I have had the good fortune to work with NACRO colleagues across all committees. I've advocated for and helped implement the organization's broadened membership base because I believe the value of NACRO is applicable to partners at institutions of all sizes and areas of focus. I am proud of the work being done in our committee and by our friends we're able to support doing other great things on behalf of NACRO. The group is seeing great momentum and I believe in the work being done by our executive committee. I plan to carry on the positive direction being implemented now, and will continue to work across all levels to see our goals to success.
Significant NACRO Contribution
The expansion of membership to be inclusive of anyone interested in University-Industry collaboration. I believe that this has significantly broadened the range of opportunity for NACRO and am pleased to see interest from smaller institutions who may not have been able to be a part of the group before.
