Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I've applied to be a NACRO member, but I haven't received a response.  What should I do?

NACRO is an all-volunteer professional organization, which means that there can occasionally be delays in response times to membership applications.  Please know that the Membership Subcommittee reviews membership applications regularly -- and applications are reviewed more frequently around the Annual Conference.  If you have any questions, please contact membership@NACROonline.org.

How much are the membership dues to become a member of NACRO?

Once accepted, annual membership dues for NACRO are $100. Dues cover the period from Sept 1 - Aug 30 annually. Registration for the annual conference includes payment of dues for the next year (see next question), so this won't be an additional transaction.

Why do I need to be a member to register for the Annual Conference?

The fees for the Annual Conference also include your NACRO membership dues for the year. As you are paying for membership by attending, you have to be accepted as a member prior to attendance. Your membership profile will house your payment receipts and allow you to immediately begin networking with other members prior to the conference. This process also helps the organization with ensuring our records are accurate and clean.  If you have any questions, please contact membership@NACROonline.org.

When I try to apply to become a member, it says that my group does not have access to the form.  What does that mean?

This error message typically means that you are already a member and the system is not allowing the same email address to create two profiles.  This function is setup to keep the membership list clean and user-friendly. Click "Forgot your password" and your password will be emailed you.  If the system says the password has been sent and you still don't receive it, see the next question.
