More than 800 industrial operations from 20 countries thrive in Baja California, not for Mexico’s low labor costs, but for the value found in workmanship, quality standards and manufacturing acumen.
In the last few years, companies have approached CETYS University looking for support in further developing their Engineering talent. Building upon a network of international academic partners, CETYS University has been able to deliver custom designed Graduate Programs, tailored to the needs of individual companies and industrial sectors.
Medtronic, Saint Cloud State University and CETYS University worked together to develop a program focused on Medical Device Manufacturing technology that is currently being offered in the CaliBaja region.
Together with the University of California at San Diego and Skyworks Solutions, a Master's program in Engineering and Applied Sciences with Focus on Radiofrequency and wireless communications semiconductors testing was developed.
Collaboration with Embry Riddle Aerospace University resulted in a series of courses within CETYS’ Master in Engineering and Innovation for aerospace companies, such as Gulfstream Aerospace, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and UTC Aerospace Systems.
This approach creates win-win situations for Universities, professionals and companies by developing a highly qualified professional workforce, focused on innovation and with an international approach. These engineers generate and apply knowledge, incorporate scientific and technological advances in the productive sector, and drive innovation within the industry.
